Iain’s idea was to help a fellow beginning internet marketer out by buying a spiffy custom graphic for them – in return for the coolest or most original comment on Iain’s blog.
I think that idea was just fantastic: Iain benefits from the attention (both from the added traffic and social proof on his blog), and the lucky winner obviously benefits from a cool custom graphic for free. Cool what Alex Jeffrey’s mentorship program can bring forth…

When everybody is happy then why stop here, right? I thought let’s reciprocate that idea and favor and pledged to run the same contest on my blog – with the same rewards.
Come to think of it – this strategy really has a lot of potential applications in marketing and business in general.

Thomas here, and I want to let you in on what’s going on “behind the scenes” in my internet marketing and real estate web sites.
Well, you may have heard before that a good mentor can make a big difference, and I’ve finally pulled the trigger.
My internet marketing mentor is Alex Jeffreys who is closely linked with my IM heroes, Rich Schefren, Frank Kern and Mike Filsaime.
Alex is not one of those impersonal gurus, in fact he doesn’t consider himself a guru at all. He has made $500,000 in his internet marketing business in 2008 and is well on track to making $1M this year.
Well so far Alex ran three mentoring calls and a brainstorming call, and I am very impressed by the natural approach to getting everything in the internet marketing business straightened out.
He is tearing away all the cliches and it’s going to be very interesting to see the effects of mentorship on my business. So under the category “mentor”, I will keep an honest log of the mentor difference in my business.
