Blog Traffic Getting Episode 2
In this episode of Blog Traffic Getting with Thomas Bartke, we go over some pretty cool ways of how you can use blog comments as a Social Networking device or strategy. And that will get you traffic, and actually MULTIPLY any traffic you already have right now.
Take a look at Facebook: Your wall in Facebook shows any posts that your friends are putting on their wall, right? Now, any of your friends’ friends can comment on your friends’ wall post, and their comments will show up on YOUR wall as well.
If you like a comment, you can get in touch with that person and make a friend request.
Bingo! – You extend your network and are now connected with your friends’ friends.
You can do the same thing with comments on blogs – your blogs and blogs of others. And that’s one great way to get more traffic to your blog and add more value to your network.

Thomas,
Yeah.. facebook, can’t quite get my head around that yet, but
then again it took me six months after setting up twitter to know what to do with a tweet.
Thanks for reminding me I really need to think about facebook as a serious traffic generation machine.
Cheers,
Rob

Hey Thomas,
Hmmm… I usually use facebook to keep in touch with friends. I’v never really looked at the wall and didn’t realize you could use it for finding more friends, so good tip. Thanks!
Cheers

Hey Melanie & Rob: Using Facebook for business is one thing (and one worth exploring, but the way to do that is through groups…)
However, interesting that you took the Facebook theme to tickle your thoughts. What I meant to point out is that – just like on Facebook – blog comments are a key to more connections (and traffic to your blog)
Cheers,
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
Another great video. I’m not yet on Facebook as I’m concentrating on learning Twitter and using it as a social tool to attract people to me.
